Oral Sedation
Our office is able to provide oral sedation dentistry under specific conditions for patients who require this level of care. Our office adheres to strict protocols regarding oral sedation dentistry.
This service is provided with the use of a prescription, which the patient must fill prior to the appointment. Patients are required to have a driver bring you to and from your appointment. You will also need to begin your appointment an hour beforehand so our staff can monitor you in our office prior to treatment. You should talk to your dentist about oral sedation at the time of diagnosis in order to allow time to fill the prescription and follow instructions.
The prescription is for a mild sedative which the patient takes prior to the appointment. This medication allows the patient to stay awake, but comfortable and relaxed during the procedure.
Please be sure to follow all instructions provided by your dentist and your pharmacist, relating to the use of prescription sedatives.
